The award-winning country singer and songwriter who is out there joining every effort to spread the word about idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis – a fatal and under-recognized medical condition that causes permanent scarring of the lungs, making it increasingly difficult to breathe. Nichols decided to join this journey of awareness after he lost his father to IPF. Now, he’s using the one thing he is certain can reach people all around the world: music. With the power of music, Nichols is trying to raise awareness and help those who are living with this devastating disease. To help on his crusade, he teamed up with Musicians On Call, an organization which has as its mains purpose, to bring music to the bedside of patients in hospitals.
