• Finding Gratitude

    Hello Forum Members,

Sometimes amidst living with the chaos of a life-threatening disease, such as IPF, it is hard to feel grateful. I admit, I have my days where I struggle to find things I am thankful for, however those days seem less frequent since I began writing as an effort to document all that I have to be grateful for. Being hopeful (not only for my future, but for a future where this disease has been eradicated completely) and finding things to be grateful have been really helpful in my overall coping with this disease. I wanted to share one of my previously published columns with you all: https://pulmonaryfibrosisnews.com/2018/02/08/pulmonary-fibrosis-gratitude-miniseries-january-2018/

This is a project that I have committed to undertaking each month: writing a column that documents what I am thankful for in the month that has just passed. I hope that at the end of this year I will be able to look back on all these columns and reflect on how great 2018 was for me! So far, this has also been a surprisingly therapeutic activity for me and I thought I’d share it with you in case you wanted to write your own gratitude miniseries (as I am calling it). I just finished writing my column for February and will share it with you when it is published.

    Take care,
    Charlene
