Biography

Newly diagnosed with IPF. The journey begins again for me with this life changing event. My late wife passed from a combination of autoimmune diseases (PAH, SSC, Sjogrens, Raynauds etc. Fairly comfortable with what the future holds for me and my new wife, who is devastated at the thought of becoming a widow for the 2nd time, but she is coping.

Former Nuclear Subamariner from the Cold War Era so I am on the hunt for others that served in the same era and on the same class of boats (640) to see if there is a commonality. So far in several weeks I have found one. Hoping that if there are more of us we can inform others of the potential. We lived for months at a time encapsulated in confinement with Battery Acid fumes, Asbestos wrapped piping in every area, Amine and a lot of other hazardous fumes.
