Biography

Recently diagnoses with IPF.  I am currently working with some very good and caring doctors at Mount Sinai and Columbia University Doctors in New York City.

This is a terrible disease that affects your quality of life in the most unexpected ways.  The most difficult and frustrating part is having to cople with the fact that the simplest tasks you used to take for granted are now a chore or even impossible to do without getting completely exerted and out of breath.  Climbing a flight of stairs is like running a mile at a fast speed.

I am learning to manage and live with the disease and have a decent, happy life hoping that in the next few years a cure will be found or barring that, a medication that reduces the worst complications of the disease and allows one to live a fruitful, fulfilling, and happy life for the remainder of our years no matter how short or long we have left on this planet.
