Short Bio

I was diagnosed with IPF in 2020, shortly after my husband’s death.   I was blessed to be his full time caregiver.   After his passing  I decided to check up on my own health because I had been so very tired and was losing weight.   That led to the diagnosis.   I do not know how long I had been struggling with the symptoms.  I have had the pulmonary function tests and am not on supplemental oxygen at this point.   I also am struggling with constant dizziness,  have seen a neurologist and vestibular therapist,  have had vestibular testing, which never showed a cause of the dizziness,  and therapy, which did not relieve the dizziness.   The neurologist, therapist and I pretty much agreed that I am dizzy and will have to learn to compensate for it as I am able.   I do not have a problem driving, which may be due to constantly focusing my attention to the road and other drivers.    I am a fairly active mother, grandmother, great-grandmother.
