My dad was also referred for palliative care in the end. His CT reports came back hopeless. he had all sort of abnormalities on the CT. His lungs were almost invisible in the CT. It matters to me as well.I’m really worried about my family and myself. This disease is really cruel. Indepth research should be conducted to look upon its causes and cure. I hope more research is done to find out the cure of this horrendous disease.My dad got diagnosed with Fibrotic NSIP just two years back but it changed to ipf rather quickly and within 2 years he passed away.

Also my dad lived on Delhi which is one of the most polluted cities around the world. May be that contributed to rapid accelation of the disease.

My dad and dad’s brother both had ipf. Also their great grandfather suffered from dry cough and dyspnea in his last days. What is your take on this?

I think for ipf patients ae is a life limiting complication. Only fortunate one survive for long after that. Following ae, my dad deteroited immensely. My dad just lived for 2 years after his diagnosis but the main culprit is covid. His lungs got completely damaged slowly within 1 year after covid.

This cruel disease has taken away my beloved dad from me.
He passed away peacefully today. His suffering has come to an end. I Hope he is in better place now.
I wish doctors around the world work together to find cure for this unforgivable disease. I have never seen any1 suffering so hard as my dad did in his last days.

I as a caretaker for my dad who’s an ipf patient is going through very rough phase.
My dad recently got discharged from hospital.He was admitted because he suffered from acute exacerbation of ipf which has deteroited his health drastically.He has become totally bed ridden.
