I believe the only reason why the doc reccomended OFEV over Esbriet was the number of pills daily (2 vrs 3) I think he mentioned early stage, however later on another doctor said moderate as my gas diffusion (DLCO) is at 44 % only, whilst lung capacity still 70 %. In Norway you are off the list after the age of 65, and in order to be ON the list you have to be so sick that expected life time is less than 2 yrs. Sees to be different from country to country.</p>

Furthermore, dryness in the throat is also a typical symptom for me. I drink loads of water but it is still there. Lung transplant is currently no issue for me, as the Doctor says I&#8217;m to healthy at the moment.  DO you have less lunge capacity? I&#8217;m currently at 70 % and doing well except climbing hills. I was diagnosed With IPF in Oct 20. A chock after having trouble with breathing for approx 2-3 years. I&#8217;m 61 and located in Norway. I started on OFEV 150 mg a month ago, and have not experienced any side effects yet. First liver status was good aswell.
