I was diagnosed with IPF in June 2022 and decided to start OFEV a year later because for me it was a better fit than esbriet. Since then I have wrestled, like most of you, with bouts of diarrhea, worsening the longer I was on the drug. I have tried different dosages and even took almost a year off the drug because of GI problems.

I started on ofev in July, 2023, by February, 2024 the diarrhea was so bad that Loparamide and diet weren’t helping. Cut back to 1x 150/day and guts settled down.

In June, 2024 went to 100mg x twice daily and within a month was back to the diarrhea so bad that experienced fecal incontinence while asleep in the middle of the night. …
