Biography

My husband is 9 months post Covid. He was hospitalized for 4.5 months. No ventilator but very close. Was on bipap. He has Pulmonary Fibrosis. He has had 3 cat scans w/o alot of improvement. He has honeycombing, reticulation and bronchiectasis. His DLCO improved a little from 27 to 36. His oxygen demand has gone down a little since coming home and doing pulmonary rehab. But now hard to get it down much further. He is on 6-8 liters with exertion 3-4 @ rest. He still declines to 80’s with too much exertion. People keep saying PF from covid is not fatal and reverses. His Pulmonologist says he will be on oxygen the rest of his life. We are just waiting to see where his plateau or new baseline will be. Also dont know if it will eventually act like IPF and get worse. Its frustrating not knowing what the future may hold. Anyone more than 1 year out of covid and in a similar situation?
