Short Bio

I am almost 82 and developed IPF in 2003, so I have outlived the average victim of this disease by approximately 13 years.  I was told there are 2 types of IPF, a slow growing and fast growing kind.

I stayed very steady in my symptoms of out-of-breath until 2 or 3 years ago, I took a nose-dive downward, and for the past year or so I have to walk slow and climb stairs super-slow, and still have to sit down gasping for air.  I have an oxygen tank at home, and applied for a medicare-paid shoulder-carried type for getting around, but  now the coronavirus supposedly has put off delivery awhile.  My oxygen monitor (finger-type) tells me I can get down to as low as 74 in some situations, but usually in upper 80’s when stressed, and sitting or laying down is low to mid 90’s.

My overall health is excellent, so I need to try any off-label or other risky drug to help me, as I know I am not long for this world otherwise.  I would especially like to know about MAZE and Metfornin experiments, and doctors who would go out on a limb and prescribe them for me soon!  Thank you.
