| Best advice for PF symptom management | I was diagnosed with IPF over 2 years ago. Taking OFEV and Prednisolone to fight the disease. Gabapentin and Carbocisteine for cough and sputum control. My advice to other patients is use the drugs to control the symptoms, be very careful of lung infection by daily temperature and sputum colour checks and get quickly get on to antibiotics if detected. Check oxygen saturation level daily and adjust oxygen level as necessary. Stay over hydrated and eat good fresh food. Start the day with a large bowl of porridge and lots of tea, English Breakfast of course.
