I started Pirfenidone 3 months ago and to my surprise I am tolerating it very well. It is very important to take it with some food and I find that a banana or a piece of toast taken just before or during works for me. Thanks for the warm welcome to this site. I am Canadian and live in Peachland, B.C. It will be good to get to know others in the same situation. I was diagnosed in Thailand earlier this year when I had to get an X-ray to confirm that I had not contracted TB. Always new that I had COPD but IPF was a shock.
