Why can’t doctors take the time to give us answers? I too wonder just what my end will be like. Of course we all wish that it is without pain and peaceful, perhaps in our sleep. I don’t understand the medical community’s  reluctance to talk about this. Since I live alone, I have had to think about this question often since both of my adult children live a good distance away. I have already completed my advance directive, basically a DNR, use only morphine.
