Please read my blog Serious side Affects of Ofev posted late last year! Sorry fo your loss. I was lucky I guess as my hole was in the small intestine and I didn’t need surgery! Treated with strong antibiotics for two weeks in hospital I was told that had I had surgery I would have lost up to 30% lung capacity.

Has anyone experience a perforated bowel from taking Ofev?

Just out of hospital with diagnoses of perforated bowel and was told to stop taking Ofev as it could have well been the cause!

Hi Don

I’ve had 3 orthopaedic ops plus a stroke whilst taking OFEV and skipping a couple of days of OFEV should not hurt you,  in my experience. Checking with you doctor will give you peace of mind. Hope you op goes well.
