Short Bio

Retired Social Worker that enjoys various hobbies from car restoration, metal smithing, rock hounding and camping. My health has been relatively good, mild diabetes, back issues and sinus issues. In March 2022 had severe shortness of breath, tested negative for Covid, went for chest extant, then cat scan and diagnosed as IPF and referred to pulmonologist, treatment options reviewed , pulmonary rehab participation and have just decided to start Olev. Also bold work reveals rheumatoid arthritis and first time knuckle flare up. Waiting for rheumatologistappointment. Have continued with coughing and mucus discharge, bouts of fatigue, difficulty talking and depression. Have started pool exercises which can wipe me out but I like the experience of low impact routine. I want to live each day to the fullest, primary Dr provided inhaler and nebulizer which helps. Trying to learn all I can and am encouraged to hear of people doing relatively well beyond the 3-5 year life expectancy.  I welcome all feedback, good or bad as I adjust to my new normal.
