My dad is having the same problems. He’s been on Ofev for nine months with no problems. And then bam. Now he’s having constant diarrhea. Any updates with your situation?

Has anyone else experienced a similar situation? Had no problems at all for the first nine months on Ofev. Now, because of the nonstop diarrhea, I’m scared to leave the house and it’s becoming unbearable. Any medications, tips, over the counter meds, food ideas, or anything else imaginable you can think of that could help would be appreciated.

My dad is on Ofev. He had trouble with it for about the first couple weeks, but now has no issues with it. His stomach does fine. So, I would try to just stick with it and maybe your stomach will adjust. I know he said during those first couple weeks he thought he wasn’t going to make it.

My dad was specifically prescribed Ofev over Esbriet because of his skin–he has fair skin. Have you heard of any people who have switched from Ofev to Esbriet and had no problems doing so?

Do you know why certain people are not making the Bicares cut for Ofev in 2024? My dad was approved in August of 2023 and is on it, but it now looks like there may be trouble getting Bicares to cover it for him in 2024. Any information you have would be helpful.
