Works wonders, and all natural. Also experience fatigue after second dose, after 5 years. However, small price to pay for no disease progression.</p>

I also take  the supplement Quercetin which has been used in Asia for IPF. And finally I take B complex, B-12, Zinc, D-3, and Termeric. Along with Perfenidone, I have been essentially stable for 5 years with minimal side effects. </p>

May I suggest that your mom ask her doctor to prescribe Metformin. It is very inexpensive and has been shown to be an antifibrotic in people who are not diabetic. Also, in the far east, many doctors prescribe Quercetin, which is also a well known antifibrotic. It is&hellip;</p>

Studies have been done that demonstrate that Metformin is an anti fibrotic. I take 500 mg per day and have since my diagnosis 5 years ago. I also take Quercetin, an Asian supplement that has also shown to be effective as an anti fibrotic. It was studied in China&hellip;</p>

Began Esbriet, supplemented with Quercetin, Turmeric and Metformin, based on my own research. Walk 10-15 miles per week, get 8 hours of sleep per night, multiple vitamins . Now stable for 5 years with minimal 2-3% decline per year. Age 81.</p>

If you switch to larger tablets, they have less effect on stomach as most of their activity begins in intestine.  My major side effect is stomach acid which I control with baking soda in water.
