I take Pirfenidone. It took a couple of months to get side effect under control. But it’s a lot better. Each decide for themselves.

John, I’m like you there’s a lot of food we need to stay away from not quite as old as you only 81 and really in pretty good health except for that I can’t give everything up. Got to have a little pleasure as you say I just thank God for what life I do have And enjoy it.

I use a nebulizer also a flutter and also a chest compressor which I do twice a day it beats the mucus out of my lungs. They do a pretty good job. I see many use izer and some of flutter but if you don’t have a chest compressor, ask your doctor about one good luck

I take Pirfenidone, 9 pills a day. My problem is after taking I get dizzy, my head hurts. I get fatigue and I have to lay down. Does anybody have any suggestion what to do?

It may be like me. GI problem. I eat breakfast and off to the bathroom. I take Pirfenidone. 3 tablets, then get tired after taking them sometimes have to lay down. Does it affect anybody like that?

John, it’s great to hear that you’re a Christian and what you said. I have IPF. I take Pirfenidone and leaving the rest us to God. Prayer is the key.

We all are looking for a cure but as one said. We must be careful what we put in our body. I just do my best at what the doctor tells me and enjoy life and not worry about tomorrow.

I told my family the moment I found out I had IPF. They are my support team. Don’t let this disease keep you from enjoying life. No one knows when death will come only God because he is in control. My faith is in Jesus.

I have just started Pirfenidone on one pill but go up to two Monday. My eyes seem to be affect. Run water and blurry at time. Does anyone else have eye problem.
