In 2016 he was diagnosed as ‘possible IPF’ but never definitively confirmed. I lost my husband recently &#8211; he was on 4 litres O2 on ‘as necessary’ basis but was hospitalised after a fall when he broke his hip and multiple ribs. He has been struggling with increasing breathlessness (‘suspected IPF’) since 2016 and but has coped for the last year or so on 4ltr oxygen on ad hoc/when necessary basis until he broke his hip and was hospitalised.
