<p>Thanks so much for all of your helpful information.  One section  I&#8217;m not clear about is the aging  stem cells lining air sacs loosing their ability to heal damaged tissue as they age and zinc needs a protein called Zinc transporter 8 (ZIP8) to draw zinc into cells to regenerate damaged cells. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find the article.</p>
<p>i’m 79 diagnosed with IPF a year ago when I had my left lower lung removed from cancer.I’m on 3.3-4.0 oxygen and two 100 mg of OFEV per day. I would appreciate helping me find the technical info on Zinc and IPF. Thank you so muc for caring and sharing</p>
