I too am in my senior years (74) to be precise, I too am inflicted with IPF and I too have recently been treated for lung cancer with radiation. This recent treatment with radiation has brought on an extreme exasperation to a point that just walking 50 feet has me gasping for breath. I have been using an inogen POC since early August 2020 and I am on 3 lts continuously. 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>@pammckee Pam I was diagnosed with IPF 9 years ago this past February and only started oxygen June 2020 and am still ambulatory with oxygen. I still try to live a full life although the oxygen can be somewhat cumbersome I continue to survive. Please think positive and don&#8217;t give in as each day new things are discovered. </p>

It was by chance they found it after my attending physician ordered a c-scan with contrast as they could see enlarged limp nodes surrounding the lungs . Regarding phlegm and IPF I too have a great deal of phlegm not so much during rest but daily sitting or active. I was diagnosed with IPF in January of 2012 and do not require supplemental oxygen to date. I did however radically alter my diet eating far more vegetables and illuminating carbs and bad sugars. I have a 65 year old female friend who was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis before I was and last month one of her lungs collapsed due to a hole created from scaring.  She has been in and out of the hospital for almost a month now and it still not fully healed.
