Prednisone was a wonder drug for me. My lung inflammation cleared up within months unfortunately the Prednisone caused my bone density to be Way below normal. Now taking a once a week drug to help with my bone density plus I am taking vitamin d 2000 iu each Day . Cheers

Incredible!! Predisone has made my lung disfunction basically clear up. Able to breath normal! No more hard coughing hacking phlegm etc. Just amazing. On 20 mgs each day. Since I wrote that last piece I have stayed on Prednisone at 20 mg per day. No side effects . Can breath normal. My oximeter reads 94 and above. No more major couphing or dry heaves or phlegm.

Need to get another lung function test and CT scan to see if the grey matter I have had gone down. All I know is predisone is a wonder drug for me!

Finally my pulmonologist put me on Prednisone! Incredible recovery for me. On my fourth week at 10 mg per day next five days. Then 5 mg the following week and then script is over. Then new testing . Thanks for this information on you being on Prednisone. I just started this week. First five days will be 40 mg then following week to 30 mg for the second week. My coughing attacks in the morning are brutal with dry heaves and phlegm.

Would love to hear your experience with predisone . Just started. Has it been beneficial to you or not.. less coughing? Breathing better? Any major side effects that stopped you from taking predisone? I can put up with a moon face vs the coughing attacks I get each morning and after eating. Not fun.
