Diagnosed with IPF December 2016. Placed on supplemental oxygen January 2018. Started Ofev in February 2018. Listed for transplant September 26, 2018 at UPMC in Pittsburgh, PA. Got the call on November 13, 2018 that a left lung was available. Was transplanted on November 14, 2018. Was in ICU 2 nights and then moved to the Step Down floor. Was in the hospital for a total of 13 days. Remained in Pittsburgh at the Family House until January 4, 2019 because we were 3 hours from the hospital.
