In 2012 went into hospital for stress test and got home 64 days later.  Had double pneumonia.  Normal treatment, third day ready to go home next day, with meds.  About 1:30pm woke from nap no pains, breathing ok, KNEW something was terrible wrong!  Set on side of bed pressed the nurse call button.  Next thing I remember is crisis Doctor running in, telling me not to worry that he was going to put something down my throat to help me breath, not to panic when I awoke that nurses would beside me.  Was on ventilator for 11 days.  ICUs 46 days then rehab. Picked up rare bug, probably three weeks before hospital.  Gave me Cryptogenic Organized Pneumonia form of ILD lung disease.  Anyway that was in 2012, had a flare up of fibrosis in 2019, causes me to go on O2 use when doing some activities.  Regular scheduled LFT’s showed a flare up Nov. 2020 12% reduction, June 2021 LFT showed 6% reduction.  Will be starting OFEV in a few days.  Have solid lung care with doctors and hospital.  Same doctor that put me on vent, is my doctor.  I am 80 years old and very active, work out 3 to 4 times a week with trainer, using O2, recovery time between is three minutes to be at 93/94.  This site is a very good resource, I appreciate all the personal information.  Thanks for sharing!
