Short Bio	I was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis in 2005. I immediately moved from an area with an F rating on the Amer Lung Assoc site to one with an A rating. I am on oxygen 24/7 as of 5+ years ago. My oxygen stays in the 90’s as long as I don’t exert myself. Prior to a few years ago, I was able to do many more things without oxygen. My CT scans have remained fairly stable but my breathing tests have shown reduced lung function – which I was aware of before receiving the test results.

Best advice for PF symptom management	Live in a place with highly rated air quality and not in a dry climate. Maintain indoors air purifiers, use humidifiers constantly to keep indoor air at 50 to 60%, staying as active as possible based on your capacity. Even if you have to walk slowly, keep moving. Keep home as free of dust as possible, get rid of carpet and items in your home that collect dust, avoid pet dander and traveling to places where the air quality, etc will cause a flare up. Take supplements that give you more energy and help to fight off infection.
