Biography

Had a single lung transplant in Feb 2014 at Cleveland Clinic and almost five years later ( now 75 yrs old) am leading a fully active life serving on boards of 2 condo associations and lifting heavy weights under the supervision of a body building trainer three times/week, spending 4-6 winter months in Florida on the beach, and in general living the good life with few restrictions. I strongly encourage all IPF patients to look at the lung transplant option after doing the proper research into the best facilities for lung transplants in the country and recognizing that surgery success is only a small part of the puzzle – the bigger issue is the post-transplant care that can make the real difference.
