Biography

I am 71 years old and was diagnosed with IPF on June 21, 2024. I have been retired for the last 7 years and love to travel. I ma married with 3 kids and 4 grand kids. I have a home in Greece and spend my summers there. The IPF diagnosis was a result of follow up on lung condition for the last 40 years. The condition is related to asbestos when I was under 12 years old. I have no sysmptoms and carry on normal life. Recent CT scan shows stable codition and the breathing test is normal. Recent visit with the respirologist inidcated that the diagnosis is “challenging” and he will do more follow up with a review board. What I have learned that the IPF diagnosis is difficult and has a high error rate.
