My husband was officially diagnosed with IPF in March of 2022 after having COVID. He has had mild scarring in the lower lobe of one lung since 2012 but, no inflammatory markers so, we were told he did not have IPF and they would keep an eye on his lungs by testing periodically. His father died from IPF.
