Hey everyone, I’m Andrea I am 40 yrs old was diagnosed with Idiopathic Plumonary Fibrosis in 2015 at the age of 35. I also am a carrier for Surfactant Protein C Deficiency. It is unknown at this time what is causing my IPF as the tissue pattern does not match anything they have seen, apparently not even the Surfactant Deficiency though I believe my team is leaning more towards that. I am not on any medication for IPF except for 5 liters of o2 but started with 1 liter in Mar of 2018. I am not currently on the transplant list but followed by a team @ Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis Mo.
