I’m an 80 year old male, diagnosed about 4 years ago with IPF.   Tried taking OFEV but determined lower gut ache and terrible diarrhea was not worth it.

Since then I am going to Mayo in Rochester, MN.   Pulmonologist now says I have CHP.

I am on oxygen 24/7 for the duration.

Best advice for PF symptom management

In my case, I’m 80 years old, my wife has passed and my kids have moved on with their lives.    I feel that with my lower gut in constant pain and being afraid to leave the house with terrible diarrhea when taking OFEV, I would rather just enjoy life with the time I have remaining.
