    • Welcome to the PF forums Beverlyn, we are happy to have you!

    • Thank you Christie. I am so happy that I can read stories, comments and experiences from patients with Pulmonary Fibrosis. As a frontliner, I got severe covid Pneumonia last year and ended up with PF. I have been using Oxygen since then from 8 liters down to 2 liters now. I am fine at rest but with shortness of breath with any activities. It will be 1 year this month since I got sick. My family wants to celebrate my anniversary by flying out of state. Any comments of flying for short or long flights?

    • Oh man, I am sorry to hear that. Covid has implications far beyond what some people realize. There is a subforum here just for covid/pf discussion, so you will likely find that useful. As far as plane travel, I am just a person and not a medical professional, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. If I were in your shoes, I wouldn’t risk it unless I was vaccinated. I know you’ve had covid before, but there is a small chance you could get it again and that could really worsen the PF. If you are vaccinated, I’d just say keep taking precautions and enjoy your trip! If you have questions about oxygen and flying, I’d recommend trying out the search bar on the forum’s homepage. I’m sure it’s been discussed before 🙂 Top right of this page: https://pulmonaryfibrosisnews.com/forums/
