    To Rich L.
You inquired as to how others got their diagnosis. I have been under care of my cardiolgist for over 10 years and when I complained about shortness of breath last Jan and told him I thought it was a lung problem . He humored me and sent me for an xray and the results showed some concerns. Now I am seeing a pulmonologist. who then sent me for a cat scan and it showed scarring of the alevoli. This was in Jan 2018. In June I was prescribed an oxygen concentrator which I use only when exercising. Other times my o2 level will drop into the low 80’s and I pass out. During the day it can be 97. I do think my situation is getting worse but I am not willing to give up yet. My am 85 and I was a heavy smoker but now am working on age 90. I hope this has been informative for you. Find a good pulmonologist! I hope you can pinpoint your problem soon. Bill Hunt
