Biography

I suddenly began having sob in Feb 2023. After I was referred to a cardiologist in April & a complete cardiac workup showed no problems, I asked for a pulmonology referral in August. A High Res CT scan showed UIP scarring, likely PFT, & a Full LFT showed a restrictive breathing problem, also indicative of a fibrotic lung disease. I was dx’d with IPF in Sept 2023. I saw a pulmonologist in Houston’s medical center who specializes in IPF for a 2nd opinion. He confirmed the IPF dx & surmised that my decades long GERD problem could probably be the culprit.
