Short Bio

My husband age 72 was diagnosed in January 2019 with IPF after months of a chronic dry cough.  Also diagnosed at about that time with Reynaud’s.  So far his lung test numbers are stable.   He is not presently on either of the antifibrotic medications. We are in the process of applying for him to be included in one of the drug trials presently being conducted at Yale New Haven.  Went through the preliminaries in August, met with the head pulmonologist, and will be returning in October for a second CT scan, review of recent blood work, etc. and should know more at that time.  I have been following the PF News website for the last few months and have found it extremely helpful and inspiring.  Thanks to all who have contributed so much of their suggestions and experience to this site, and to Charlene for her dedication, support and effort as keymaster.
