Short Bio |
I am a 67 yr old who served 36 years in the military. I spent a year in Iraq 2004-2005 living down wind from the Burn Pits in Balad. In 2014 I had an LR cat scan because I smoked cigarettes. Our family doctor never said there was anything abnormal. In 2017 I became short of breath and received an bronchoscopy and was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis. High steroids that did not work. I became very ill while in Montana and was instructed to see my pulmonologist as soon as I got .home. I had a open lung biopsy which indicated IPF.I am not going to get evaluated for a lung transplant. My physician is a very supportive of whatever I choose. I attend Pulmonary Rehab twice a week.Since I cannot fly over 3000 ft I am not able to travel by air to see my youngest son and his family . Fatigue is a real problem and I nap each day for one hour.
