Diagnosed with PF about 1 year ago after being diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis about 5 years ago.
I have tried 3 different biologics for arthritis and finally found one that worked. When I saw my Lung specialist Dr. Khalil at Vancouver General hospital she prescribed Mycophentilate. She said the combination of my biologic Rituximab and the mycophentilate should work well together.
It has been about 6 months since I have seen her and my breathing tests are about the same. I turned 70 this month so I was told lung transplants are out if I progress. I am still exercising at the gym 3 times a week but cannot take walks because of my knees and back problems.
Hopefully these drugs will do the trick for the future.
