Biography

My husband, age 74, was recently diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis and put on home oxygen.  This was a real shock and we are having trouble adapting.  I am 71 years old and in good health.  Prior to the diagnosis, my husband was going for long walks with our dog, playing badminton at our local raquets club, and generally living a normal life.  He did feel short of breath but attributed that to being overweight and out of shape since Covid started and he couldn’t go to his gym.  However, it turned out that his O2 saturation was dangerously low and now he is supposed to use the oxygen whenever he goes out or is exerting himself.  He is on Ofed.  Because of Covid, it seems that the resources we might have accessed before are not available right now.

We are very fortunate to live in our own home.  Our children are grown and launched.  We miss having direct contact with our little granddaughter, but FaceTime helps.
