| Short Bio | Six months after doctors confirmed a diagnosis of IPF, I was flown from our local ER to UCSF, where I would remain in ICU on a ventilator for three months. I received my double lung transplant, recovered well, but later was back in the hospital for a month to combat a bacterial infection. We finally went home after nearly six months in San Francisco. I have been healthy ever since, am now two years post-transplant. The road isn’t always smooth, but life is grand! |
