Hello everyone,

I’m Sharlene and join this PF site in search of advice and community for my daughter of eight years who has struggled for over three years with non stop breathing issues which have gone undiagnosed as of 2023. She was originally diagnosed with asthma but NONE of the usual treatments helped – not nebulizers, not inhalers or even daily pills. We’ve tried allergy medications and testing we’ve been seeing a Pulmonologist for almost a year and NOTHING works. We are currently waiting to meet our areodigesitve team and the time of wellness between illnesses is shrinking more and more. It’s just days now. She has been on nine courses of Prednisone in twelve months and now our doctor and the ER is hesitant to give anymore. It IS the ONLY thing that works. Just in 2022 our girl had COVID three times and RSV twice, countless viruses from her school and God knows what else. We need help and suggestions for her upcoming appointment – so far we think that it could be CF, Atypical CF or possibly resistant asthma. It always starts the same with very mild cold symptoms and ends up in her lungs (upper), not many reports of wheezing or shortness of breath but a lot of choking, gagging and vomiting due to those stimuli.
