Started just 5 days ago and finding pain in my liver area. I do have liver disease, but was going to have it monitored by blood tests. I’m going to stop it now and infom the Dr. I guess what’s worse liver disease or lung disease?

I’m in the exact same situation. I have to assume no one is going to do all two problems, and /i don’t mean at the same time. I guess I’m screwed.

Started taking OFEV a few days ago. No issues so far, but have a liver disease that needs to blood tested once a month. I’m hoping I can continue.

I bought Nusapure off of Amazon. The recommended dosage from them is 2 capsules per day, and they are 1000mg. I am going to stay with the one capsule per day. I just started this a few days ago, so nothing to report as of yet, by the way they are made in the USA.
What I am impressed with is that this study was reported in the, New England Journal…[Read more]

I guess my question is with this disease and the known eventuality why wouldn’t someone with advanced IPF be willing to test some of these drugs. I know I would sign over any liability to anyone or Co. that was willing to use me, knowing I had little options.

My hope and as I have mentioned on the forums here is, with all the research being done on covid-19 it will lead to some type of treatment or cure to PF.

Let’s hope, your right. Unfortunately it has to be at the expense of others. The only thing I am worried about are those who will suffer now from fibrosis due to covid -19.

I think this forum is a good start by getting the word out. It will tend to have an osmosis effect in the pulmonary research field. We all need to advocate for a cure for this disease.

With the advent of this horrific virus and the attacks on the pulmonary functions. The multitude of testing and investigative research around the world it would only lend to possible cures for PF. Let’s hope there is some good that comes out of something so bad, for both, stricken with these two horrible diseases.

Hi @joehick0529,
Ah, this is really great information, thanks for sending it. I don’t know too much about this but I am asking our team at BioNews if one of our science writers may be able to look into it for you a bit more. I haven’t followed up as to where it stands right now or obtained more information about it, but stay tuned and I’ll see if…[Read more]

Looking for info on, N117?

Hi @joehick0529 — I’m not sure what N117 is, can you provide us with some context? I haven’t been as immersed in the research as I normally am (please forgive me if this is a dumb question) as I am trying to recover from a major exacerbation. I can see if there is anything I can find out about it for you though. Are you wanting a research paper…[Read more]

Hi @joehick0529, I connected with our Editor-in-Chief here at BioNews and she let me know that a news column was published on N115 in August when the results of the study emerged. She also let me know that it doesn’t look like anymore information has been released since then, so a January press release from the company is misleading. Hopefully…[Read more]
