I am caregiver for my husband, Robert Branson, age 78. Two years ago he was told he had some pulmonary scarring but it was unclear whether RA (his mother had RA) or environmental factors (automotive factory work, renovation of old home) were the cause, and whether or not it was old scarring or if there would be progression. In Feb-March 2018 a severe flare-up when we were away from home led to confirmation of IPF.
He is to see a respirologist in our home area, have repeat PF tests and start whatever treatment is appropriate for him in the next couple of weeks.
