Thanks for the responses. I’m 78 and always had low blood pressure until diagnosed with PF in May 2021.

Hi Mack, good question, but it is posted as a status update, so other forum members won’t see it. Head to the bottom of this page and type it in the text box there to make a forum post 🙂 https://pulmonaryfibrosisnews.com/forums/forums/forum/join-discussion-welcome-pf-ipf-patients/

Hi Charlene, can you tell if the 100 works as well as the 150 ? The 150 stopped my cough and helped my breathing.

      Hi Mack,

I think it does, but of course that is subjective to my experience. I wasn’t on the 150mg long because I couldn’t tolerate it so I don’t have a lot of experience. So far so good with the 100mg though and I hope it stops your cough and helps the breathing too. Let us know!
      Charlene.

    Thanks for your reply

I tried everything for my diarrhea and nothing worked at all.

Sorry but I don’t know what BMI is.

My new doctor at UT Southwest Medical In Dallas, Texas has me scheduled for a PFT in three months.

I weight 150 pounds so I don’t know if the 150mg was just too much or not.  I just hope the the 100 works as well as the 150…[Read more]

    Dr. Salzberg

Do you think two of 100 is as effective as the 150 two times a day ?

My doctor reduced my does because of severe diaarhea. The 150 stopped my couch and helped my breathing. I hope the 100 will work as well.

    Thanks

My doctor reduced my ofev from 150 twice a day to 100 twice a day because of severe diarrhea. Does the 100 work as well as the 150 ?
    Thanks

      Hi @mack,

Thanks so much for your note! I was also reduced to the 100mg twice daily (from the 150) due to the terrible GI side effects, and I’m doing well. Hope this helps!
      Char.

Hi Robert, I’ve been on Ofev 150 twice a day since 5/27/21 and have very serious diarrhea every day. So I’ve stopped taking since last Saturday and am back to normal. The Ofev stopped my cough and helped my breathing. I have tried the immodium gelcaps and they didn’t work either.

    any other ireas ?
