I am very fortunate Charlene as I can still manage deep inhalation. Despite the condition of my oxygen levels are really good because I use a Bioptron lamp that oxygenates tissue. It is not easy to navigate all the advice and medicines that doctors suggest but I trust in my own judgement. You can’t take Spiriva if you have had an irregular heartbeat and my heart raced off at 240 beats per minute over one year ago. I had ventricular tachycardia with fibrillation so have to be cautious. Hope your breathing improves. Best wishes.

      • Hi @marlene-west,

Thanks for getting back to me, as I am always curious to hear what others think of their inhalers. I’m glad you can still take a deep enough breath to use the Symbicort, especially if it is helping you. Good for you for trusting in your own judgement, and finding ways to get the information you need. It can be so overwhelming to navigate what the doctors say, isn’t it? Oh! I didn’t know about the Spiriva and heart rates, I have some cardiac trouble but my doctor knew this so I am guessing my being on it isn’t a risk. Thanks for sharing that with me though, something I am going to follow up with! Best wishes to you and thanks again for connecting back with me 🙂
