Short Bio

I was told I have IPF in 2012.  I was living in Colorado Springs CO at the time and my local pulmonary doctor referred me to United Jewish Health in Denver CO.  Other than change some breathing treatments there have been very few changes in medications.  Brovana, ProAir, Levalbuterol, Spiriva.  About 8 months ago I got two articles about some lessons learned during COVID about using Zinc and also about using Vitamin C, D, and E.  Not to repair lungs but to help slow the spread of the fibrosis.  Zinc is 50mg a day.  C is 250mg every other day.  E is 200IU a day.  D is 50,000IU once a week.  I just completed 5 months of the format and I do believe I am breathing somewhat better.  If you want to get information for what studies/programs are currently being done in the world (stem cell and other) go to ClinicalTrials.gov. There is plethora studies.  Some planned, some recruiting, some in work, some completed. I used the following search parameters: Pulmonary+Fibrosis+Stem+Cell+Studies
