Biography

Hi, I just got my diagnosis.  I live in Canada soI am not sure if I will be considered for any ground breaking  treatments that may come up.  I never heard tell of this disease before.  I think the time it interfered sufficiently to cause alarm bells to go off was about four years ago when I had to undergo surgery  and my oxygen level plummeted after recovery.  It necessitated an extra two weeks in hospital before I was deemed fit enough to return home.  Fast forward to present day, I am located in another Canadian province and it would appear I have IntetstitialLung Disease, pulmonary fibrosis, something about pneumonia is and bronchioles or something to that affect and several nodulesin my lungs of which the largest is 8mm and they are not seemingly that concerned about that.  I have been a smoker but I have also been subjected to “sick buildings”, black mould, airborne toxins etc.  Treatment has not yet commenced and the diagnosis feels quite surreal and scary.  I feel like someone punched me in the gut with a two by four.
