Welcome to the PF forums Rajesh, we are happy to have you here!
Thank you Christie.
My mother has IPF for the last 2 1/2 years and taking Ofev for the past 5 months (Pirfenidone – the previous 8 months). Recently her gastro intestinal side effects have become serious. So I was searching the internet and got lot of information, but not sure which is genuine. After seeing this site, I got confidence that we are on the same page like others having IPF and we need to manage the side effects properly to have a better quality of life. Thanks to all the members who have contributed their experiences in this forum. It is really helpful for me and will be helpful for others like us. Hope there will be some cure in the coming years (sooner than later) for this disease.
I’m sorry to hear that she is having trouble with GI stuff too. I think that is pretty common. You may find some ideas for things that bring relief by using the search function on the forums homepage. This site is trustworthy. All of our news and articles are written by science writers who have an understanding of the disease, and columnists are all intimately involved too–whether as patients or caregivers. In the forums, you will find all kinds of folks and the more knowledge the better 🙂 Let me know if you have any questions navigating the site.
