Short Bio

I was diagnosed with IPF in 2014. I saw my doctor twice a year and felt he was doing nothing but then told me that somehow, my IPF went away. So, I stopped going to him as I just didn’t like him. Then, in early 2022, I was noticing shortness of breath. Finally, I went to my primary doctor. He asked me why I stopped seeing my pulmonologist and I explained that I didn’t like him. So he sent me to a new one that did more for me in one visit than the other doctor did in the 4 years that I saw him. She explained a lot to me and referred me to my current pulmonologist, who is a speaker at a lot of the lectures and on IPF. I feel very fortunate to have him. He did the tests and looked at my previous scans back to 2015 and put me on OFEV. Since I could not afford a $3, 689 copay, I have spent the past month working with a group to help with the copay. Getting very very close now to getting the drug. I have been reading this forum for about 2 months now, after my wife found you and I decided to join it as the information is outstanding.
