- 81 years old–Diagnosed with IPF in July, 2018. Total lung capacity was down to 60%. Still working as a Financial Advisor but will retire 2/1/2019. Still feel pretty good except for shortage of breath at times. Not on Oxygen yet. Been taking metformin (500 MG twice a day) since September. Just had second Lung Function test and will get new numbers next week.
