Biography

A couple of months ago, suffering shortness of breath I underwent  a CT Angiogram scan, followed up with a CT chest scan. Not only was there  heart stenosis but I have IST (Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia). I was then diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis. It was a shock, as I thought my shortness of breath was caused by heart problems! After lots of testing, a cause was not found, my respiratory specialist had my case heard and approved to start the drug Ofev in January 2021. If I cannot tolerate the side effects or my condition is not controlled by Ofev, funding will be withdrawn. My Cardiologist who is treating the IST with Ivabradine, thinks it is caused by the lungs, she is hopeful that the Ofev, will help and she will review my medication, after 1 month on Ofev.
