Biography

I was diagnosed in May 2019 after multiple bouts of pnemonia.  After finding out that Esbriet cost for me would be $3800/month, I started researching and found that it is made in a plant in Mexico and the cost there is $450/month.  After making an appointment with a pulmonary specialist there, I flew to Mexico City with all my medical info and x rays (he is one of Mexico’s best).  The doctor was totally professional and spoke fluent English.  After having a high resolution CT scan, he reviewed everything and confirmed diagnosis.  He wrote me a prescription for KITOSCELL 600mg to be taken 3 times daily. That is the Mexican name for Esbriet.  I filled 6 months of prescription there for $2700. My flights, hotel, food, taxis, tests, CT scan and medical appointments amounted to less than a one month supply of Esbriet at home. I will go back to Mexico for tests and to refill my prescription in November (6 months).
